The CSX has experienced a bridge fire this weekend between Mobile and Montgomery, Alabama affecting connecting traffic with Union Pacific over the New Orleans gateway. As repairs are made, UP and CSX are rerouting selected intermodal and manifest trains over the Memphis gateway. CSX estimates that repairs to the bridge will take approximately two weeks, with traffic resuming over the New Orleans gateway on Sunday, February 22.

While rerouting continues, customers could experience up to 24-hour delays on any traffic being rerouted via the Memphis gateway.
